Christmas in Cheyenne

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great 2012 and you were able to spend the holidays with those you love!
ChristmasDecorationsJesse, Rosie, Ruby, and I made our way to Cheyenne where we spent an early Christmas with both of our families since I had to work back in Omaha on Christmas Eve. While there we crammed in as much holiday fun into a week as possible! For us that meant days full of baking, puzzles, shopping, board games, and of course lots of eating.
Baking Fun.jpgBaxter was so excited to have his sister (Rosie) and momma (Ruby) visit, they had lots of fun wrestling and playing together just like old times. Baxter was especially sweet and loving to Jesse and I which made us feel good knowing he hadn’t forgotten about us even after all this time.
BaxterDoodleToby and Teddy were also very sweet and were big hams whenever the camera came out. They gave their best poses and pleaded I put them on the blog, I think the spot was well earned.
Funny PugsFor our Christmas dinner we had all the essentials including my 5 minute cheesecake (recipe to come) and twice baked potatoes (my absolute favorite).

For dinner we were joined by Sam, Garth, and my grandparents.

Classic family photo, someone’s eyes are always closed.
One of our family traditions is Christmas crackers that contain little goodies. Even though the prizes inside are so simple they always make us giggle and bring out the kid in all of us.

Next we played a new game we received from our cousins called “The Game of Things” where you pull a card that says something like “Something You Shouldn’t Do in Public” then everyone discretely writes down their answer and you try to guess who said it. It definitely brings a lot of laughs and with granddad involved a lot of “letting a windy” and “picking your wedgie” type answers. Too funny!

Later on we opened presents and I think we all made out pretty darn good. It was my favorite Christmas yet! Later this week I’ll share a few of my favorite gifts I gave and received 🙂Christmas Gifts

I hope you all had an excellent holiday and that this upcoming year is your best yet!

Cheers,
